Furniture Design

This body of work explores how architectural thinking can translate into human-scale objects through material experimentation, spatial logic, and precedent-driven design. Throughout the semester, I studied iconic buildings and models, ranging from Aires Mateus’ sculpted voids to Arne Jacobsen’s futuristic geometries, and reinterpreted their principles into functional pieces made from wood and shop scraps. Each prototype became a way to examine rhythm, proportion, structure, and light, not as abstract concepts but as operations embedded in everyday objects.
